The Role:

As a Senior UX/UI Designer working in the appliance space, you'll be an essential part of our creative, cross-functional teams, designing the future digital experiences for our customers. You’ll craft elegant, intuitive, and premium interfaces that bring our digital touchpoints to life — ensuring every interaction feels seamless, beautiful, and unmistakably Fisher & Paykel.

About the Role:

The Senior UX/UI Designer works alongside multi-disciplinary product, engineering, and creative teams and is responsible for crafting visually compelling, accessible, and brand-aligned user interfaces across our digital products.

Working within the UX Design Team, this role plays a crucial part in challenging and refining digital solutions to deliver seamless and innovative customer experiences. You'll actively contribute to the evolution of the Design System, uphold design quality through collaboration and review, and help evolve and develop our processes and frameworks.

This role requires user advocacy, strong stakeholder communication skills, an eye for detail, design craft, and system thinking that drives outstanding, premium digital experiences for our family of appliances.

You'll play a critical role in the UX process through extensive discovery phases, ideating innovative solutions, and gathering detailed requirements that align with user needs and business goals. You'll conduct user testing sessions to collect valuable feedback and insights, enabling you to refine, elevate, and continuously improve the Premium User Experience across all our digital channels.

About you:

Your greatest assets are your passion for digital design, advocacy for users, “can-do” attitude, and love for creative problem-solving through Design Thinking. You are self-organised, always put the user first, and are unafraid to challenge the status quo. You dare to fail and learn from it.

You have 6+ years of experience working as a UX/UI Designer in a digital delivery environment. You have experience working in a large-scale organisation (ideally with a global perspective). You possess strong commercial acumen, with the communication and influencing skills to drive alignment and operational excellence across a wide range of stakeholders.

On the technical side, you bring proven experience crafting UX journeys and best-in-class UI designs for web and touch-based experiences (e.g., apps, tablets, kiosks) that have delivered measurable customer and commercial outcomes.

You are confident working closely with a range of cross-functional team members in an Agile environment, with strong proficiency in Figma and demonstrable experience in journey mapping, wire-framing, and prototyping. Experience working within a robust design system is ideal.
