AWS Solutions is seeking a Senior User Researcher to bring impactful, actionable, and scalable research insights to teams innovating next-gen agentic AI products. You will work closely with product stakeholders, enterprise and end users to ensure that new innovations, features, and enhancements are rooted in customer needs, while exemplifying UX excellence across AWS.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for research that informs a broad range of partner product teams throughout the development lifecycle, starting from forging a deep understanding of what research does, who our customers are, how they work, and the logic behind their implicit needs. You are well-versed and experienced in various methodologies of generative, evaluative, and validation user experience research, and have proven impact on product decisions based on your findings. You are able to synthesize your insights in a way that product and engineering teams can quickly to take action. You recognize the value of working quickly while maintaining high standards in deliverables that matters most to moving our organizational priorities forward.
In our organization, the researcher is expected to understand critical organizational priorities, organize research accordingly, and proactively decide how to make the best use of time to produce insights that impacts stakeholder work from day-to-day. The researcher regularly meets with executives and senior leaders to understand organizational intent, with customer to understand user needs and problem statements, as well as execution stakeholders to keep lockstep with product innovation needs at every milestone in the product development lifecycle. A successful candidate has demonstrated history of excellent communication and writing skills and employs them daily.

AWS Industry Products is an AWS engineering organization chartered to build new AWS products that address real-world customer problems. We dive deep with industry leaders to unblock industries, enabling them to capitalize on new digital business models. We focus on the automotive, manufacturing, supply chain, sustainability, clean energy, multimedia/entertainment, healthcare and life science industries. Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact
- BS in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or similar
- Portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (eg: study plans, reports)
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology
- Familiarity with the technical considerations involved in designing for complex systems
- Proficiency with web standards and accessibility compliance
- Experience working in a collaborative environment where some collaborators are remote and some are in-person

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
