Senior UX Researchers at Allegion work day-to-day with product managers, designers, researchers, customer support & success teams, and marketers to research the software solutions that matter to our customers and our business. They’re also part of a larger, quality-driven software services organization whose culture prioritizes psychological safety, collaboration, accountability, inclusion, pace over perfection, and creating greater satisfaction and trust within Allegion Software. We’re looking for candidates who have a growth mindset, experience working with product teams, understand how to drive consistent product discovery and validation, and who can share real world examples of how their approach to research has brought successful products to market. Above all, we’re on the hunt for exceptional practitioners and communicators who understand that building world class software is a team sport. We are open to US-based remote employees but are especially interested in candidates local to the Denver or Indianapolis metro areas. Some travel (up to 1–3 times per quarter) may be required. **What** **You’ll** **Do** + Build strong relationships and collaborate with product teams to conduct impactful research that informs strategic decision-making and delivers high-quality user experiences. + Conduct a variety of research activities, including quantitative surveys, qualitative interviews, solution validation, usability tests, heuristic evaluations, and more—both remotely and in person. + Advocate for generative and post-release research through activities like contextual inquiry, ethnographic studies, and usability metrics (e.g., System Usability Scale, User Experience Questionnaire). + Identify research opportunities, develop plans, recruit participants, execute research, present findings, and serve as a usability expert for the teams you support. + Create journey maps, personas, and various research deliverables including readout presentations, reports, etc. that include actionable insights. + Deeply understand the functionality, target users, market landscape, and competitors of the product(s) you support to guide research efforts effectively. + Define and track usability metrics for supported products and proactively share insights across the organization. + Manage concurrent research initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables and on-time completion. + Participate in weekly design reviews by asking questions, critiquing peers' work, and sharing feedback on your own projects. + Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools, and advancements in research methodologies, recommending new techniques to improve practices. **What** **You’ll** **Need** **To** **Succeed** + 8+ years of user experience/digital product research and testing experience with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights and recommendations. + Exceptional storytelling, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. + Strong ability to cultivate relationships,and collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders. + Deep knowledge of design patterns, accessibility principles, and emerging trends (e.g., augmented/virtual reality, AI applications). + Proficiency with research tools (e.g., UserZoom, Optimal Workshop, Maze, Qualtrics), modern design tools (e.g., Figma), and usability evaluation methods. + Strong organizational, time management, planning, and prioritization skills to manage concurrent initiatives effectively. + Ability to apply Design Thinking principles, influence product strategy, and adapt research processes within Agile Scrum teams. + Passion for inclusive design practices and user-centered research methodologies. + Commitment to staying current with industry trends and continuously improving your skills. + 5-7 years of user experience research and testing experience or a combination of relevant education, training, and job experience, with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights and recommendations. + Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or related User Experience field. + Work east coast hours. **Why Work for Us? **   **Allegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:**    + You're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.  With thousands of employees and customers around the world, there’s plenty of room to make an impact. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The expected Base Salary Range: $120k-$135k.
