About Our Team
The Lenovo Design + Innovation team is a global group of highly skilled and talented people doing what we love, designing the very best world-class products. You will be an integral part of the team, working together across continents and cultures in a friendly, fast-paced and inspiring work environment.
We are looking to add a Senior User Experience Designer to our team that will help us visualize and craft the future of hardware and software at Lenovo with new AI innovations. This role would be a fit for you if you’re passionate, optimistic and an excellent collaborator. You’ll report to our Executive Director of the Lenovo Experience Design Group, working closely with our Strategic Design team, User Experience, Software and Engineering teams to help build the foundation for Lenovo’s future device interactions.
Core Responsibilities:
Craft compelling design stories to communicate the vision, inspire others and influence our ultimate design direction for our AI products across software and hardware componentsVisualize the future of software and hardware interactions, develop and communicate tiered strategies for execution with key checkpoints and goalsCommunicate user interaction at all stages of the design process with storyboards, sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypesCollaborate with other designers and engineers to build the foundation for harmonious software and hardware solutions, crafting industry leading user experiences from concept to executionWork closely with research teams to capture the needs of our customers and integrate user feedback into future focused conceptsBuild relationships and appropriately communicate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and collaborate to achieve short- and long-term goalsStay up to date with the latest industry trends and tech developments, in addition to maintaining a strong understanding of the role of AI and how that might affect the future of technology and human interaction with their devicesBasic Qualifications:
Strong portfolio of UXUI work showcasing hardware and software interactions, product concepts, user interface mockups, and prototypes for products that are on-market7+ years of Experience in Software UXUI and/or Hardware Design for consumer electronics products/systemsBachelors or Master’s degree in industrial design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or relevant educational fieldsPreferred Qualifications:
10+ years of Experience driving innovation concept and design stories to deliver products to market7+ years of Experience working with both software and/or hardware design Familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (Windows & Android)Experience with JavaScript, Angular or ReactProficiency Adobe CS Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Azure, XDAbility to present designs to Executive and above level business stakeholders, prior experience presenting to Executive stakeholders is desiredStrong collaboration and problem-solving skillsAbility to visualize, craft and articulate complex conceptsAbility to build and manage relationships with internal and external partnersThe base salary budgeted range for this position is $175-200k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This role is hybrid at our Morrisville, NC location 3 days per week. Relocation assistance can be provided.
