How you will create an impact
Reporting to the Management Liability Practice Lead, Financial Lines, you will contribute to the growth and profit of the Commercial Segment, Financial Lines by underwriting new and renewal business, developing, and maintaining relationships with existing and new brokers, ensure visibility of AIG in the market and execute agreed strategies.
Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
Maintain accurate files, registers and records to contribute to management reporting and timely service and policy issuanceUnderwrite new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, relevant underwriting authority and AIG principlesBe a source of knowledge and mentor others within the teamDeliver a professional presentation to brokers with an audienceLead complex underwriting projects – i.e. broker tendersEnsure the maintenance/development of solid working relationships with existing/new producing brokersAssist in portfolio decisions following actuarial reviews and involvement in setting the strategyWhat you’ll need to succeed
Proven track record demonstrating strong sales skills together with a solid understanding of brokerage market as you will be a key point of contact for our broker panelAnalytical skills are required to manage the profitability of brokers in conjunction with the Financial Lines management and existing professional relationships with brokers would be beneficialProven track record in managing and developing broker relationships, highly collaborative approach and excellent communication & presentation skillsInsurance qualifications (ANZIIF Senior Associate or equivalent) and financial lines experience would be highly regardedReady to make a bigger impact?
