This position will support the East Valley Region, primarily in the North Hollywood Imaging Center. The East Valley Region is currently made up of UCLA Health Santa Clarita Imaging and Interventional Center, UCLA Health Porter Ranch Primary & Specialty Care, UCLA Health North Hollywood Imaging and Interventional Center, and UCLA Health MPTF Toluca Lake Primary Care. This position participates in on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules, prepared by the manager and supports one of the medical centers in the UCLA Health system. Additionally, participation in rotating shifts is required, as needed.

In this role, you will:
Have a broad range of knowledge in General Ultrasound and a deep understanding of complex Vascular Ultrasound and Vascular Physiologic Testing Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions to meet the needs of patients and families served Obtain, evaluate and use information from the patient requisition, medical records, referring physician and correlate with acquired images Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology Use independent judgment to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and our interpreting physicians Extend courtesy to our patients, family members, visitors and co-workers through our “World Class Practices” Service Standards Share knowledge and provide development in Vascular Ultrasound Technology to our team of Ultrasound Technologists
Senior Sonographer (Advancement into Senior Sonographer job classification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health):
Minimum of four years of prior experience within the hospital / acute care setting Must maintain Active RDMS certification in three specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVT Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric and Vascular Sonography. Additionally, proficiency in interventional procedures Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound school is strongly preferred Staff Salary Range: $62.43 – $76.12 Hourly Senior Salary Range: $55.94 – $73.81 Hourly
