Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our team in Meridian, Idaho. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee complex transportation projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.

Lead and manage mid- to large-size transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of project lifecycleProvide specialized technical input and expertise for transportation studies and designsDevelop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem-solving skillsPerform quality control reviews of work developed by team members, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulationsParticipate in the development of technical proposals for new projectsEstimate engineering budgets and schedules for large projects, ensuring efficient resource allocationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomesMentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environmentStay updated on industry trends and best practices in transportation engineeringEnsure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulationsCoordinate with government agencies, stakeholders, and the public to obtain necessary approvals and address concernsDevelop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project issuesConduct thorough analysis of traffic patterns, capacity needs, and safety considerations to inform project designsOversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documentsFacilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to senior management and clients.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BS / BA + 10 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferredProject Management experience in Roadway/Highway projectsOpenRoads Design software experience is a plusMicrostation, InRoads design software experienceRegistered Professional Engineer in Idaho or ability to retain PE within 1 yearMinimum of 8 years of experience in transportation engineering and project managementProven track record of successfully managing complex roadway/highway projectsRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) in Idaho or ability to obtain within one yearProficiency in transportation design software, including OpenRoads, Microstation, and InRoadsStrong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practicesExcellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skillsOutstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience in client-facing rolesAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management toolsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentWillingness to adapt to new technologies and innovative approaches in transportation engineering
