Responsible developing a strong real estate pipeline in assigned region and managing real estate projects for all retail concepts. Organizes and drives
resources to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities include site identification, direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. Ensures projects move through the pipeline to be
presented at Real Estate Committee. Balances priorities between multiple projects.
This role is located in Jersey City, NJ or Boston, MA with an expectation of being in the Store Support Office 5 days per week.
The Senior Transaction Manager will provide support for all physical retail locations, including Whole Foods
Market and other Amazon retail concepts. They will work with business leaders to execute on short- and
long-term strategies; work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the business needs are being achieved in complex lease negotiations; and effectively manage external brokerage relationships. The Senior Transaction Manager will report to the Executive Leader, Real Estate.
Key job responsibilities
Manage complex leases of various kinds
Execute processes to ensure project execution is completed consistently and predictably at
a fast pace
Conduct field tours with key stakeholders
Responsible for site negotiations
Obtain relevant local data for planning purposes
Build a robust pipeline and execute on projects aligning with the business strategy
Align and work closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure requirements and
business needs are achieved through negotiations
Create, innovate and implement a relevant system of metrics to plan, manage, measure and
evaluate site potential
Effectively communicate expectations, requirements and status of projects to key business
partners – both internal and external
Manage an ever-changing variety of internal initiatives and projects
Help grow the best real estate pipeline of new opportunities in assigned region

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering,
Architecture, Planning or related field
5+ years’ experience in transactional real estate management leveraging a combination of
internal and external resources.
5+ years’ experience negotiating leases, contracts, and similar documents
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business, real estate, finance, engineering, construction management or
law degree
Ability to effectively communicate requirements to various audiences (e.g. senior
management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.)
Experience developing and implementing process improvements to streamline projects
A track record of delivering high-quality projects in an atmosphere where speed, flexibility,
and heavy workload are the expected norm

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
