A master’s degree is an asset. + Minimum **5 years** of experience in **traction power engineering** , preferably within **rail and transit** projects. + Licensed **Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in Ontario** , or eligible for licensure. + Excellent Technical report and specification writing ability as well as written and verbal communication skills + **Technical Skills:** + Strong knowledge of **AC/DC traction systems** , **substation design** , **protection coordination** , and **equipment ratings** . + Familiarity with other disciplines in **rail and transit** projects and their interfaces with traction power systems + Proficient with **power system modeling tools** (e.g., ETAP, PSCAD, MATLAB Simulink) and CAD platforms (AutoCAD, Revit). + Familiarity with **EMC/EMI mitigation** , **stray current protection** , and **grounding design best practices** . **WSP** is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
