We are building a marketing operations Center of Excellence, and we need a Technical Program Manager to drive this mission forward.
About the Role
As the Technical Program Manager (TPM III) for Technical Documentation Operations, you'll be the architect of our next-generation documentation ecosystem that serves hundreds of thousands of developers annually. You'll own our proprietary documentation tools and Adobe suite, driving innovations that help developers build faster and more efficiently for our Fire and Alexa/Echo-powered devices. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical leadership with strategic program management to transform how we create, deliver, and scale technical content across Devices & Services teams.
Key job responsibilities
Technical Innovation & Strategy:
• Lead the architectural vision for our documentation systems, partnering with engineering teams to integrate AI technologies that accelerate developer success
• Own our full Adobe Experience Cloud suite (Target, Experience Manager, Launch, Web SDK, and Analytics), driving tech stack evolution to meet emerging needs
• Spearhead the evaluation and implementation of next-generation documentation tools and AI-powered solutions
• Maintain robust security and compliance standards across all documentation platforms
Program Leadership & Operations:
• Drive end-to-end Technical Writing operations, optimizing processes from intake to launch
• Establish data-driven metrics and KPIs that measure program success across efficiency, satisfaction, and quality
• Lead vendor relationships, security compliance, and budget management for our documentation and content management tools
• Build scalable workflows that support Fire and Alexa technical writers and product teams
• Align operational strategy with organizational goals and customer needs
Cross-functional Impact:
• Partner with product, engineering, and technical writing teams to drive systematic improvements
• Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions that shape our documentation infrastructure
• Champion process improvements that enhance cross-team collaboration and delivery speed
• Drive roadmap priorities and resource allocation across teams
About the team
CAPE MET is a horizontal support function within the Entertainment, Devices, and Services org. Our vision is to excite, educate, and energize third-party developers to build delightful experiences for hundreds of millions of Fire and Echo family devices.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience in operating content management system (CMS), Adobe Experience products, and technical documentation authoring products
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
