*This is a hybrid role in Brossard, Québec. Must be able to work in the office 4 days a week.
We are looking for a Test Specialist Engineer to join Distech Controls, specialized in the design and manufacture of PLCs for building automation. You will join our Product Life Cycle team and play a key role in the continuous improvement of our solutions. Your tasks will include executing test strategies, managing test benches, and validating technical modifications to our products, in order to guarantee their compliance and performance.
Missions et responsabilités principales Analyze, prepare and carry out product tests following maintenance and/or improvement projects. Analyze technical documentation and product functional specifications. Define test plans: scenarios, test protocols and appropriate measurement methodologies. Carry out verification and validation tests to guarantee product conformity. Collaborate with R&D, hardware design life cycle, production and quality teams to define and execute required tests. Proactively monitor existing products and benches. Monitor current products and associated test benches. Identify opportunities to improve test benches and associated procedures. Organize the transfer of test benches developed in R&D to the Product Life Cycle group. Supervise and ensure the preventive and corrective maintenance of test benches to guarantee their availability. Write and distribute test, anomaly and qualification reports. Document test and analysis results, including performance deviations from specifications. Produce clear, usable reports for internal teams (R&D, production, quality).
