We have an excellent opportunity for someone like you to join our innovative team as a Senior Test Engineer for high volume manufacturing for our Penang, Malaysia facility. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test processes for high-volume manufacturing. This role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. This will happen by you creating an efficient and consistent process by which new products are transitioned from NPI center to high volume production. Ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in LabVIEW Test Automation (including related NI products) and electrical system design for a high mix / mid- to high-volume production environment.

What you will do is:
Support production test with troubleshooting to the component level, and resolving complex issues in both hardware and software test platformsPerform root cause analysis on production test failures, communicate finding, and lead corrective action effortsTrain test operators on use of equipment, suggest improvements to test instructions or equipment performanceSupport MSA studies, gauge R&R studies, bias testing, and design of experiments as needed to support test stand duplication and new product introduction activitiesDevelop presentations, for both internal and external delivery, to demonstrate lessons learned, equipment issue leading to yield decline, knowledge, new ideas, etc.Test / debug / validate code updates (incl review) prior to release for use in manufacturing and service environmentsInterface with Engineers (Test, Manufacturing & Design) and other cross-functional teams on yield issues and continuous improvement initiativesAssist in repairing and maintaining existing test systems (in terms of functionality, reliability and performance)Create and procure tools, cable assemblies, instruments and fixtures for testCommunicate effectively, in both oral and written form, critical technical information regarding test software, system design and performanceManage projects simultaneously, with the ability to shift priorities (as needed) based on changing customer needs

What will you bring to the team, along with your knowledge in LabVIEW/electrical engineering and your enthusiasm to learn is:
B.S. or higher degree in Electrical Engineering 10+ years’ experience working with automated test systems, ideally in semiconductor processing, in a high mix low volume environmentExperience with automated test system design, electrical design, and/or software development is requiredHands-on experience with laboratory test equipment (DMM, oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQ devices, etc.) is requiredHands-on experience with electrical systems (AC/DC, analog/digital circuits) and system wiring is requiredDemonstrated proficiency with National Instruments LabVIEW is required, Certified LabVIEW Developer is preferred.Excellent problem-solving & troubleshooting skills is required. Experience with structured problem-solving techniques is desired.Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required, English is requiredExperience with revision control (Perforce, Agile) and bug-tracking (Jira) is preferredFamiliarity with vacuum systems, pressure, flow measurement and control systems is preferredOther Information:
