Senior Technology Specialist
Position Profile
To retain and expand sales revenue in assigned account base as well as drive new market share within the Federal vertical.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide product information to selected customers within an assigned territory. Conduct business analyses of customer communication needs and develop customized demonstrations, proposals, and value propositions that exceed expectations. Focus on acquiring new customers and retaining existing accounts through a consultative approach, particularly within Federal Department of Defense and Civilian organizations.
Oversee the post-sale delivery and implementation of RICOH solutions at customer sites, serving as the primary point of contact for all related sales documentation.
Proactively cultivate new customer relationships, evaluate leads, participate in communication planning, and deliver tailored RICOH solution proposals in alignment with sales management directives.
Collaborate with customers on strategic planning initiatives, identifying at-risk accounts and developing actionable plans to address their needs.
Consistently achieve or surpass revenue and gross profit goals.
Coordinate cross-functional sales activities and lead team processes to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Represent the company and promote RICOH products during off-site customer meetings and events.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all account activities within the sales database.
Identify key decision-makers within accounts and conduct strategic outreach to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.
Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and effective support.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience, including at least 2 years of experience selling to Federal Department of Defense and Civilian organizations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of sales methodologies and processes in a matrixed environment, especially within federal sectors. Excellent negotiation, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal, time management, and self-motivation skills. Solid business acumen and leadership capabilities. Proven ability to work with or lead diverse teams in developing account strategies. In-depth knowledge of industry products and services. Ability to build and maintain key relationships across business functions. Skilled in analyzing complex data from multiple sources to identify issues and propose solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands Primarily office-based with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels. Work is mostly sedentary but may involve walking, standing, bending, and lifting items under 10 lbs. Requires moderate dexterity for tasks such as typing and using office tools.
