Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Technician to join our Architecture + Interiors studio in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

Prepare and revise detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using BIM softwareCollaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to develop and refine design solutionsEnsure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and project requirementsConduct site visits to gather information and verify existing conditionsAssist in the preparation of project documentation, including technical reports and presentationsCoordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues during constructionManage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standardsUses applications to scale and edit assignments involving computer-aided design and other graphics software (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit/Rhino) to achieve set results and deadlines.Digitize or trace sketches/ concepts from designers to AutoCAD or Revit.Leads in preparing and producing drawings accurately at preliminary, detailed design and tender stages and suggests improvements where necessary.Applies industry knowledge and technical expertise to complete moderately complex tasks independently, seeking guidance for atypical assignments. Accountable for specific project components with an impact on the team, other project teams, and external stakeholders. Analyzes issues, applies solutions within defined parameters, and contributes to procedural improvements and new ideas. Collaborates with internal teams on routine and non-routine matters, while guiding less experienced colleagues.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related fieldAcredited Architectural TechnologistMinimum of 5 years of experience in architectural drafting or a related field with  demonstrable relevant project experience and responsibilityProficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk software and RevitStrong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methodsExcellent technical drawing skills and attention to detailSolid understanding of architectural design principles and sustainable design practicesProven project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects efficientlyStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience working on projects in the UAE or Middle East region is preferredRelevant or additional certifications in BIM/architectural software or building codes are a plusWillingness to travel to project sites as required
