Senior Technical Systems Analyst - Windows

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Technical Systems Analyst within HR & Compensation Technology you’ll be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for working on small to large development or maintenance projects for our stakeholders (i.e. multiple projects or one application with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties). As a TSA, you will need to partner with resources across IT and with the HR business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs, exploring alternative options in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions and designs that meet stakeholder requirements (including component reusability, data sharing and security)

What will you do?

Leads / facilitates detailed technical design phases in order to identify, track and resolve technical issues.

Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.

Develops detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.

Develops, codes, documents and executes unit test, system, integration and acceptance test using different languages and testing tools for functions of high complexity.

Prepares high level and detailed technical specifications / other documentation for projects in accordance with PLC, security and architecture documentation objectives.

Organizes and participates in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, programs and unit test plans.

Develops criteria for and participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

3+ in development (SQL, C# .NET deployment)

Proven experience working on various applications (e.g. SaaS, on premise) with multiple functions.

Understanding of DEV Ops methodology (e.g. GitHub, Jenkins) and different programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, JSON).

Experience working with various networking / infrastructures such as Servers, Single-Sign-On (SSO), File Transfer.

Excellent communication and written skills and the ability to write or support detailed technical specifications in accordance with SDLC, security and architecture document objectives.

Experience working on initiatives using Iterative Waterfall or Agile methodologies.

Great attention to detail, organizational skills and an analytical mind.

Nice to have:

Experience using tools such as Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint, Lucidchart.

Exposure with ServiceNow and ITIL processes (incident, request, change management)

RedHat Linux scripting.
