Summary:
Responsible for growing business with existing customers and development of business with new customers. Provides support to sales and technical teams on new product development and product optimization. The role will include on-site customer technical support and application support to enable use of products. Responsible for assuring product performance through proper use and field application.

Business development, support of estimating, technical specifications review, and active participation in technology roadmap / strategic planning based on voice of customer feedback. Maintain documentation required for quote processes. Conduct market analysis for new or strategic business opportunities. Provide verbal and written recommendations to customers and sales team. Provide support to the operational and sales teams to strengthen technical and industry knowledge. Strengthen Quanex Custom Mixing reputation and brand awareness in the marketplace. Manage specific assigned accounts and customers Develop new and enhance existing customer relationships. Conduct regular reviews of customer feedback and market trends to refine sales and product development strategies. Engage with customers early in the decision-making process to identify opportunities, build trust, and strengthen Quanex’s positioning as a preferred supplier. Interfaces with customers on product quality issues and identifies resolutions. Partner with sales and technical teams to develop and deliver tailored presentations, focusing on the technical and operational benefits of Quanex products and services. Assist with organization and execution of customer site support (process audits, product qualification, troubleshooting). Develop and administer training for new chemists and process engineers, as required (internal). Aid customers in equipment selection for current and future product requirements. Provide input for product innovation, including next-generation products, line platform extensions, and phase-outs, ensuring smooth transitions for customers. Collaborate with the R&D Manager Product Director to propose and implement integrated solutions that align with customer needs and market demands Support design of new / optimize existing products and processes for commercial product development. Ensure new or changed products are setup functionally and correctly. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to prioritize assignments and projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints. Driven and results-oriented. Ability to travel up to 60%. Ability to negotiate and deal with high pressure situations. Strong work ethic with a drive and ambition to succeed.Your Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, technical field, or equivalent industry experience required. Minimum 10 years of specific product-related experience required; plus 5 years specific experience in product development and/or technical sales role preferred.The salary range for this position is $104,924 to $157,386 with bonus potential.
