**Job Description:**
A
Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning,
execution, and delivery of complex technical projects. They play a key role in
ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet the
defined technical quality standards. This position requires a strong blend of
technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Project Planning:**
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope,
objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and
deliverables
**Team Leadership:**
Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing
guidance and support.
Foster a collaborative and positive working environment to
maximize team productivity.
**Technical Expertise:**
Apply a deep understanding of technology and industry best
practices to guide technical decisions.
Interface effectively with technical teams to translate
requirements into actionable project tasks.
**Risk Management:**
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively address issues to ensure projects stay on track.
**Stakeholder Communication:**
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to
stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
Conduct regular status meetings and produce project status
reports.
**Resource Management:**
Allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
Collaborate with resource managers to ensure the
availability of necessary skills.
**Quality Assurance:**
Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure
deliverables meet specified standards.
Conduct thorough testing and validation processes.
**Budget Oversight:**
Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring
financial objectives are met.
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting.
**Continuous Improvement:**
Identify opportunities for process improvement and
efficiency gains.
Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance
future project outcomes.
**Vendor Management:**
Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts
**Required Skills/Qualifications:**
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or
equivalent is highly desirable.
Several years of experience in technical project management,
including leadership roles.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies
and technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, SoftwareEngineering, or a related field.
