Description As a Technical Program Manager focused on Operational Excellence, you will lead critical initiatives to streamline and optimize technical operations across multiple engineering teams. In this role, you'll manage a centralized program that coordinates common operational activities while collaborating with multiple tech teams. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive roadmaps, establishing standardized processes, and driving cross-team operational improvements. The position requires you to balance planned strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational needs, while working closely with Software Development Managers and technical leads to ensure successful implementation. Success in this role demands strong technical acumen, exceptional program management skills, and the ability to influence and drive results across distributed teams. As the primary orchestrator of operational excellence initiatives, you'll play a crucial role in improving efficiency, maintaining quality, and scaling our technical operations to meet growing business needs. Key job responsibilities * Lead the planning and execution of Operational Excellence initiatives across multiple technical teams * Develop comprehensive roadmaps and timelines for OE tasks during OP1/OP2 planning cycles * Create detailed project specifications including resource allocation, dependencies, and delivery timelines * Establish success metrics and KPIs for program effectiveness * Drive cross-team collaboration for shared infrastructure and operational improvements * Implement best practices for multi-country management and operational efficiency * Prioritize and balance planned initiatives with urgent operational needs * Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation strategies to key stakeholders Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 3+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
