Senior Technical Program Manager, Site Reliability
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. + 5 years of experience in program management. + Experience with Infrastructure, Networking, Cloud/On-premises or Site Reliability. Preferred qualifications: + 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team Site Reliability Engineering projects in IaaS/SaaS, cloud computing or emerging technologies. + Experience in partnering with engineering and infrastructure teams to facilitate the design and delivery of networking products. + Experience in technical program management outcomes from idea to launching programs in multiple contexts with the focus on automation. + Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience and mix technical acumen to deliver a story. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems. + Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) programs by aligning cross-functional teams on timelines, goals, and deliverables. + Manage escalations and unblock obstacles, ensure all leadership/stakeholders are aware of progress/blockers on a continuous basis. + Drive strategic and tactical decisions throughout all organisations and levels. + Shape technical directions and add value to various engineering efforts, while understanding the program implications of various engineering and business trade-offs. + Design and roll-out processes and tools to increase the velocity of engineering teams, the quality of delivery and take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
