Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8 years of experience in program management.
+ 5 years of experience in risk management and governance principles.
+ 3 years of experience in Cloud products.
+ 3 years of experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks.
Preferred qualifications:
+ 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Risk Governance team's core mission is to oversee the framework for managing risk at Cloud. Governance ensures that risk decisions are made deliberately and strategically, directly supporting the continued growth and expansion of the Cloud business. Robust risk governance ensures that Cloud is able to meet the stringent expectations of both customers and regulators. Risk Governance facilitates the main risk decision-making forums in Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications.
+ Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that optimize high business impact for the organization and product area.
+ Apply deep knowledge of the GCP technical environment to assess the potential impact and likelihood of identified risk issues.
+ Consider the regulatory environment relevant to Google Cloud when assessing the potential implications of risks.
+ Act as a key point of contact for technical guidance during risk issue escalations.
