Senior Technical Program Manager, AI & Model Governance
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager, AI & Model Governance to lead and support the development, integration, and enforcement of model governance practices across CAI labs. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with evolving enterprise-level governance policies while driving operational efficiency and stakeholder alignment. Key Responsibilities: + Organize, design, and drive the agenda for CAI’s Model Governance Operations Committee. + Design and document governance processes integrated with AI Product Development Life Cycle PDLC and Model Development Life Cycle frameworks. + Liaise with various CAI labs to drive implementation and evolution of governance processes. + Liaise with AI/ML product owners and scrum leads to drive alignment of agile workflows with governance stages (e.g., Backlog, Review, Testing, Deployment, Monitoring). + Establish and manage peer review protocols, including reviewer selection, artifact generation, and timeline adherence. + Resolve governance gaps for existing models in production, especially those lacking formal approvals. + Liaise with MRM Model Risk Management, Data Defense Office, and Enterprise Data Office to evolve governance tools, requirements, and processes. + Lead experimentation with AI tools (e.g., MLFlow) to enhance governance capabilities and efficiency.. Experience Requirements: + Governance Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience in AI or model governance, risk management, or compliance within data science or analytics environments. + Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, machine learning engineers, product owners, IT developers, and enterprise level governance bodies + Process Design: Demonstrated success in designing and implementing governance processes from scratch, including documentation, enforcement mechanisms, and integration with operational systems. + Operational Leadership: Experience leading governance committees or working groups, driving consensus, and delivering tangible outcomes under tight timelines. + Technical Fluency: Experience working with AI/ML development teams. Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle tools and platforms, including AWS, JIRA, MLFlow, and model validation frameworks. + Strategic Communication : Ability to synthesize practitioner feedback and advocate for governance improvements with enterprise stakeholders. Preferred Skills: + Ability to interpret and refine governance templates and documentation. + Understanding of financial industry (asset management in particular).
