Program Summary
KBR is searching for an experienced Electrical Engineer to study, design, prepare specifications, and perform services related to electrical and electronic systems employed on aircraft and missile systems, subsystems and components to include the associated support equipment, test stands, maintenance, repair, and diagnostic equipment.
Responsible for study, design, specification, reverse engineering, and testing related to mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts and assemblies.
Under general supervision, able to perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.Devises and suggests new approaches to problems encountered. Conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice and complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.Performs in a lead role in small projects or segments of large projects, responsible for planning, budgets, and organization.Roles and Responsibilities

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. Minimum seven (7) years of industry experience.Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.Preferred Skills and Experience
Proficient understanding and working knowledge of SolidWorks, and simulation tools such as ANSYS.Proficient understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel.Proficient understanding and working knowledge of material selection, manufacturing techniques, and creating and interpreting engineering drawings and data. Experience and knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and supportability challenges due to aging and obsolete components.Knowledge and experience with root cause analysis.Experience with ASME Y14.5 drawing standards, particularly Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Full time, 80% on site, remote 20% (Hybrid)Travel will be required 10% of the time.Candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills; must be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences or facilitate group discussions; develop accurate written materials to communicate information clearly and concisely.
