Who will you be working with?
The Wabtec IT Finance Systems Team is growing to support our worldwide consolidation of ERP environments and financial systems transformation. We need a Senior Technical Architect who will participate in all aspects of Oracle Financial Applications Design, development and technical support.
How will you make a difference?
As a Senior Technical Architect, you will be expected to provide technical expertise to business owners, Module Owners, work with offshore, on-site staff to ensure reliable and effective development and operational support for Wabtec Oracle EBS Environments. You will be participating in initial meetings of projects/enhancements with business owners, gather, analyze business requirements/issues and translate them into Oracle development solutions, ensuring Wabtec standards and procedures are followed.
What will your typical day look like?
Work with IT Technical leads, Finance global module owners (GMOs), Business Users and Support teams for prioritization and troubleshooting of critical issues and work towards resolution

Participate in and perform the analysis of the R12 EBS seeded and custom processes in
MOAC environment to identify gaps and opportunities for improvements
Work alone or as part of team to analyze and understand requirements, design, estimate, develop, test, document and implement best solutions that meet the needs of the customer and add most value to the company in Onsite offshore model. This is to be accomplished by utilizing technically sound methods of investigation, analysis, design, planning and scheduling
Support the IT organization, operations and finance in troubleshooting technical issues with month end close activities and issues
Provide technical support by writing queries and develop custom programs to fulfil the business requirements
Partner with module owners/technical leads and help carve out and lead mandatory compliance, productivity and business required initiatives going beyond day-to-day operations
Ensure changes related to ERP implementations/Projects go through proper testing and relevant documentation is created for future reference
Ensure conformance to generic ERP Operations support standards/practices
Ensure the alignment of Oracle EBS solutions with business requirements and IT strategy
Coach/monitor contingent staff, less experienced in ERP Operations support standards/practices
Participate in code reviews and User acceptance testing
Pursue continuous learning, consistent with movement in job responsibilities, changes in Priorities, technology, organization, business units
Accountable for the work assigned and take initiation when required
Able to handle multiple enhancements or projects at a time by prioritizing the work based on deadlines and project plans
What do we want to know about you?
You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors. Other Majors will be considered with applicable career experience in the Information Technology field.
Minimum of Eight years of Oracle ERP Application development and support experience in a related position
In Depth Business and Oracle Application functional knowledge of the Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to cash (OTC) cycles in EBS, GL, Costing, Intercompany, SLA, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Inventory, OTL, EBTAX modules.
Hands on experience in at least couple of R12 EBS upgrades, implementations, consolidation, and migration projects for Oracle Financials
In depth Knowledge of project and software development life cycle methodologies, capable of planning and organizing work and processes in a continuously moving support model
Minimum 8 years hands on experience with Oracle Databases in Oracle forms and Oracle reports, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, OAF, Web ADI, REST Services, structured programming techniques, Open Interfaces, Integrations, APIs, custom Concurrent Programs and Software Documentation.
Minimum 8 years hands on experience with APPWORX, JDeveloper, Workflow builder, GITLAB HP PPM, HTML, XML, BI Publisher, ServiceNow, EDI systems configuration, formats, data mapping, Conversions, and processing data.
Hands on Financial Transactions expertise to walk through end-to-end Finance processes.
Desired Technical and Interpersonal skills we would love it if you had:
Knowledge and understanding of module specific API’s and ability to design, implement and support custom extensions that integrate with vanilla processes.
Ability to coach, train, motivate team to adopt standards & methodologies and work in fast-paced environment coordinating with business users and customers to help support and enhance business processes.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership skills with written, oral communication and Collaboration skills; Highly self-motivated, Self-starter
Understanding of underlying ERP applications database architecture, key tables in Finance and modules
Ability to create and execute test plans as well to create design documents.
Ability to anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve those obstacles
Resourceful and quick learner, with the ability to efficiently seek out, learn, and apply new ideas
Change Oriented, with the ability to actively generate process improvements, support and drives change and confront difficult circumstances in creative ways.
