Our projects range from technical accounting advise on complex accounting transactions, new standard adoption, preparation of accounting papers, review of complex consolidation and related accounting application.As a Senior Technical Accountant, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience who will help you realise your full potential by helping you build your network, enhance your career and gain job satisfaction. As part of a team, you’ll advise engagement teams as well as clients in the area of IFRS implementation, reporting, application of accounting standards and solving complex accounting issues in financial statements. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
What your days will look like:
Conduct in-depth research on complex technical accounting matters to assist in the preparation of accounting papers.
Assist engagement teams and clients with IFRS implementation, financial statement reporting, and solving complex accounting issues.
Proactively assist in managing a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality advice on technical accounting matters.
Collaborate with colleagues to solve technical accounting issues and develop strategies to address complex challenges.
Contribute to the development and delivery of in-house training courses, workshops, and seminars for clients and internal teams.
Engage in business development activities to identify new opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
Keep up-to-date with the latest accounting standards, local and national business and economic developments.
Build and maintain strong effective working relationships both with clients and internally, and your PwC brand.
The role is for you if you possess:
At least 3-4 years of experience in an audit or client accounting role.
A strong educational background with a Master’s degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification.
An informed understanding of IFRS and keen interest in technical accounting principles.
Fluency in English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
An analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity and a passion for researching accounting standards.
Comfort in building and maintaining relationships with clients and internal teams.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
