As a Sr. Tax Analyst at Honeywell , in Bucharest, you will be responsible for effective reporting and control of the VAT affairs, supporting strategies to optimize overall tax burden while complying with relevant legislation. The scope of work will cover all sub regional subsidiaries across the different businesses. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to\nbe named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is\nexpected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

Key responsibilities
Produces VAT return information from the accounting system.Ensures high quality Issue log resolution and initiate corrective actions for the entities in the portfolioEnsures VAT return accuracy and approval within the submission deadlineEnsures VAT return reconcilies with the accounting recordsEnsures on time VAT paymentsSupports the implementation of new business, systems and processes into the Tax CoE, may participate in the SAP implementation of new businesses within EMEAEnsures the overall awareness of modification in VAT legislation in own regionSupports the (SOX) , External& Internal Audit testing for VAT and other tax cycles, VAT auditsCovers various projects for process improvements initiatives or ongoing activities that require coordination within the teamActs as guidance point for Tax Analysts/Tax Specialists/Interns and deputy supervisor upon needs, may supervise Tax Analsts/Tax Specialists/InternsDevelops Technical expertise and drives process standardization in own regionWork with the team to review VAT compliance set up in relation to existing business scenarios or newly created business scenariosContributes to the smooth running of the Tax CoE by performing other tasks as required.Provide support to EMEA Controversy Tax Manager for the tax audits of the entities in own portfolioKey skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/LawMin. 5 years experience in Finance or Accounting in multinational environmentMin 1.5 year indirect tax knowledge Fluency in English (German or any other European language is a plus)Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);Strong analytical skillsEffective presentation skillsSAP, Oracle experience is a plusOur offer
