Senior Tax Analyst
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Tax Analyst to join our team in Akron, Ohio. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the preparation, compliance, and research of corporate tax matters, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate tax compliance and accounting, along with a proactive approach to resolving complex tax issues. Responsibilities: • Prepare federal and multistate income tax filings, including separate company, consolidated, and unitary tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. • Develop and maintain tax provisions for separate and consolidated entities, including footnotes and journal entries. • Reconcile current and deferred tax accounts to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. • Conduct in-depth research on technical tax topics, providing practical solutions and actionable recommendations. • Gather and analyze internal data to support tax filings and resolve compliance-related inquiries. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address tax-related issues and implement effective strategies. • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant. • Support audits and reviews by preparing necessary documentation and responses to inquiries. • Identify opportunities for process improvements within tax compliance and reporting functions. Requirements • Proven expertise in corporate income tax and tax compliance processes. • Strong knowledge of federal and multistate tax regulations and filing requirements. • Experience with annual income tax provision preparation and related accounting entries. • Familiarity with corporate tax provisions, reconciliations, and reporting standards. • Ability to perform detailed research on technical tax matters and provide practical solutions. • Proficiency in analyzing and compiling internal financial data for tax purposes. • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced certification preferred.
