We are currently looking for a Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Accounting to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee.
A Day in the Life:
Prepare and review GAAP/JGAAP/IFRS tax provisions and ASC 740 accounting, including footnotes, disclosures, permanent and teporary differences, discrete items, rate reconciliation, inventory of deferred assets/liabilities, taxes payable, and deferred roll forwards/reconciliations.
Assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting uncertain tax positions and current controversies, ensuring these are communicated to the Global Tax department. Prepare and review tax journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, along with correlating tax account reconciliations.
Ensure all tax accounts are accurately reflected in the financial statements, including income taxes payable, deferred assets/liabilities, provision for income taxes (current and deferred provision), and tax adjustments in the statement of cash flows and stockholders’ equity.
Provide support and act as a point of contact for financial statement auditors, monitoring changes in U.S. and IFRS accounting standards and tax laws to properly consider income tax impacts. Partner with different groups within the tax department to ensure timely and thoughtful communication on potential tax impacts of law changes and/or changes in business operations.
Research, analyze, and summarize relevant tax topics and calculations, collaborating with accounting, financial planning and analysis, and treasury staff to understand transactions and data impacting the income tax provision. Lead ongoing efforts to automate and optimize tax accounting and compliance processes, assisting with annual federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns as needed.
Who We’re Looking for:
Minimum of 4+ years of US income tax experience, including federal and state compliance, and tax accounting in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Desired:
Proficiency in OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision preferred
