The Senior Physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Recruiter will be a key member of Indiana University Health’s Provider Recruitment team. This role involves partnering with stakeholders to deliver comprehensive talent acquisition services, focusing initially on staffing a new hospital opening in Fort Wayne in 2027. The recruiter will manage the full recruitment cycle, develop targeted sourcing strategies, and provide guidance to hiring leaders to secure top provider talent. As staffing stabilizes in Fort Wayne, the focus will shift to recruiting for specific medical specialties across the region.Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment process: posting positions, screening candidates, interview planning and execution, candidate selection, and onboarding support.
Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies, including active sourcing, utilizing job boards, attending recruitment events, and engaging fellowship and residency programs.
Partner with hiring leaders to provide expert guidance on candidate selection and hiring strategies.
Leverage knowledge of total rewards and market compensation to ensure competitive offers aligned with candidate skills and internal guidelines.
Support passive candidate sourcing strategies and activities, including project management and process improvement initiatives.
Support recruitment efforts initially focused on staffing the new Fort Wayne hospital, with a future shift toward specialty-specific recruitment.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5-7 years in talent acquisition within a matrixed organization; healthcare experience preferred. Strong preference for experience in provider recruitment within an academic health system.
Sourcing & Recruitment Skills: Extensive knowledge of internet sourcing, recruiting strategies, and passive sourcing tools and techniques.
Compensation & HR Knowledge: Expert understanding of compensation structures and HR regulations (FLSA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
Process Improvement & ROI: Proven success in implementing sourcing strategies, process improvements, and measuring recruitment ROI.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and applicant tracking systems.
