Senior Systems Process Engineer
As our Senior Systems Process Engineer, you will blend hands-on test and process engineering efforts leveraging internal and external team collaboration to assess, define and implement effective test processes. You will contribute to PacStar’s effort to develop and flow down test and verification requirements that will allow reduce the amount of incoming test and inspection from PacStar to our suppliers. Your in-depth understanding of developing and implementing functional and system test processes for manufacturing both within PacStar and its suppliers will be critical to your success. You will design and develop test approaches to ensure product quality aligns with company standards, to include implementing effective test methodologies, processes, and equipment. You will work with our cross-functional product engineering and operations teams to deliver data center class functionality to our customers where size, weight, and power (SWaP) and reliability in austere environments are mission-critical.

Your Challenge:
Work collaboratively with systems and hardware engineering during the development life cycle to identify new and emerging test capabilities and create test plans and process development to support those new capabilities in a supplier or production environment
Work collaboratively with operations and supply chain during the low-rate initial production phases to ensure supplier capability and readiness to fabricate and deliver conforming product to PacStar; where required, facilitate the performance requirements and work with suppliers to put effective in-process test capability into place
Create strong partnerships with supplier partners in the development of the test systems (software and hardware) and manufacturing processes to meet project schedules, product test coverage, yields, and ramp requirements
Work collaboratively with manufacturing engineering to identify new capability needs for new product introduction and work to identify and implement processes and fixturing to ensure conforming product test processes and procedures are in place
Develop and validate Automated Test Programs and fixtures, leads the selection of suitable test equipment for the manufacturing test process
Represent PacStar with suppliers and partners as a subject matter expert (SME) in testing methods and approaches for effectively delivering conforming product
Adeptly communicate complex technologies to all levels and backgrounds
Interface with technical staff from 3rd parties to resolve technical issues
Develop and manage test development plans and reporting on progress to cross-functional teams and management
Transition technology to production, including input to test procedures
Independently manage schedules, identifying roadblocks or needed resources early to ensure schedule success

What you bring:
5 +Years of experience in Systems Process Engineering, Production Process Engineering, and or Manufacturing Process Engineering
Minimum of 5+ years of experience is required in the following technology areas:
Troubleshooting Intel x86-based hardware systems throughout product lifecycles
Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
Microsoft Windows server operating systems
Linux
3+ years of experience is required with test methodologies, test equipment and test implementation for the technology areas below:
Writing and developing test cases
Identifying and implementing new test capabilities and procedures
New product DFX (Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturability/Assembly & Test)
Facilitation of supplier test capability evaluation and implementation
Experience with the following technology areas is strongly desired:
Design for Manufacturing Tools and Testability
Virtualization, Storage, Network, and Systems Integration
Networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls; preferably Cisco)
Deployment and implementation of new systems using a repeatable process
PowerShell, PowerCLI, or other scripting languages
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to communicate technical details with nontechnical team members
Ability to learn from, and mentor team members
Attention to detail and quality orientation a must
Independent Professional that can perform job assignments with limited supervision
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds of test equipment at least 40 feet
Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines
