**The Opportunity**
Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
Our **Irving, TX** office is looking for a **Senior Systems Integration Specialist** for our Core Diagnostics division.
The **Senior Systems Integration Specialist** takes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to ensure subsystems are effectively integrated and perform optimally as a complete system. This role focuses on delivering system solutions, enhancements, and improvements to maximize overall performance. The specialist leads analyses across various domains—including functionality, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, system security, regulatory compliance, certification, and product assurance—to develop a preferred system configuration that supports mission success.
**Responsibilities**
+ Identifies critical performance requirements that link to system design requirements across interacting functions. Collaborates with technical teams to identify and implement significant operational, process or system level product improvements in alignment with strategic business needs. Collaborates with technical organization to develop and refine system solutions through the concept, feasibility, development and qualification phases of the product development process.
+ Leads systems related analysis to assess performance against design specification, and assessment of system interactions. Leads technical review of complex system related system integration, verification and characterization studies.
+ Leads development of systems integration test methods/ processes and troubleshooting instrument (hardware/software) and assay/reagent interaction issues to determine root cause and possible solutions. Resolves complex system-level problems.
+ Mentors junior-level team members and supports system integration knowledge sharing activities to alignment with strategic business needs.
+ Conducts and/or provides guidance on special studies or experiments to improve systems performance, system quality, and define subsystem enhancements or new components, products or processes.
+ Applies complex quantitative methods, analyzes data, evaluates results, forms conclusions and provides and implements improvements. Leads complex issues to determine root cause. Applies systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving System level technical issues. Utilizes DMAIC and/or other investigation tools as appropriate.
+ Leads activities to drive continuous improvement of processes and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyze activities to improve performance workflow and work processes.
+ Promotes collaboration with various systems, assay, engineering and instrument support departments/disciplines (e.g., systems integration, quality engineering, assay and instrument design, on-market support, software, technology) through knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact processes (e.g., Assay Development, Operations, Business, Quality, Regulatory, Quality Engineering).
+ Monitors performance of cross-functional teams against complex timelines; develops contingency plans as needed; recommends across-site resource and strategy adjustments.
+ Collaborates with technical team members in the analysis of performance and suitability of system architecture. Supports technical team in developing and integrating performance budgets and evaluating Key Performance Parameters (KPPs)/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs). Leads team members in application and analysis of multiple optimization process techniques: Set targets, ranges and specs - DOE, Guard band, System Error Budget Analysis, Capability (CPk), Test Method development, determine functionality and system compatibility of multiple system components and troubleshoots of parts and subsystems. Reviews and develops FMEA, hazards, modes of control for Risk Management. Leads complex investigations involving interacting system level issues.
+ Provides technical oversight to ensure our products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing any defects and speaking up.
**Education and Experience**
**Required**
+ Bachelor’s Degree required in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
+ Minimum of 6 years’ experience
+ Demonstrated experience leading complex system and risk analysis.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and utilize data to make decisions and influence stakeholders.
+ Experience with systems development principles and concepts.
+ Experience in understanding and complying with applicable regulations.
+ Demonstrated ability to apply principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
**Preferred**
+ Proven experience in testing and troubleshooting embedded software systems.
+ Demonstrated ability to work with complex system-of-systems architectures.
+ Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
+ Familiarity with laboratory operations, including routine duties, data representation, and workflows.
+ Hands-on experience executing integration test plans for complex electro-mechanical systems.
+ Skilled in defining and developing system verification and functional testing procedures, including clear acceptance criteria.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
