The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) is hiring a Systems Engineer II Effectors for our Tucson, Arizona location. This exciting and challenging environment allows you to design, develop, and test innovative solutions for our customers. You'll experience the Systems V engineering lifecycle while working closely with various engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, chief engineers, technologists, and customers to ensure our systems operate flawlessly for our warfighters.
This role is 100% on-site at our Tucson, Arizona campus, where you'll work on an effectors project critical to the systems lifecycle. Join us and make an impact on the success of mission-critical defense systems.
What You Will Do
Update, develop, maintain, and improve requirements, concepts of operations, and define system interfacesDevelop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.Perform and execute testingIdentify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issuesIntegrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impactConduct trade studies and present results to stakeholdersWork with and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionalityDevelop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholdersConduct statistical and numerical analysis of test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirementsPresent technical findings and solutions to leadership and customersTravel is needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locationsQualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experienceExperience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems testingActive and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceQualifications We Prefer
Defense Industry, specifically with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as Department of Defense customer infrastructure experience. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
