About Our Team

Our global team supports products that educate and provide electronic health records, introducing students to digital charting and preparing them to document care in today’s modern clinical environment. We have a stable product that we strive to maintain while valuing trust, respect, collaboration, agility, and quality in our team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer – End User Computing (EUC) to join Elsevier’s EUC Enterprise Engineering team. This is a senior-level role focused on delivering robust, scalable, and high-impact EUC solutions that empower our global workforce.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless solution delivery, mentor other engineers, and lead efforts that continuously improve our platform's performance, reliability, and automation.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing improvement of complex EUC solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

Act as a senior escalation point for high-impact technical issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and resolution.

Drive the delivery of enterprise infrastructure projects, working closely with engineering leads, service planning leads, and internal stakeholders.

Identify and execute automation and process improvement opportunities, reducing manual overhead and boosting efficiency across EUC operations.

Guide and support junior and mid-level engineers through mentorship, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.

Ensure platform stability and performance through proactive monitoring, tuning, and incident response.

Partner with IT operations, security, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with user needs and compliance requirements.

Participate in on-call rotations, supporting the OCC/NOC and delivering after-hours support when necessary.

Requirements

Deep technical expertise in EUC platforms including Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, Active Directory, Azure, and AWS.

Advanced hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, as well as strong working knowledge of MacOS and Linux in enterprise settings.

Solid understanding of network services such as DNS, DHCP, and enterprise connectivity.

Practical experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM) and scripting/automation using PowerShell or similar languages.

Demonstrated ability to own complex systems end-to-end, from planning and deployment through to support and continuous improvement.

Strong communication skills with a collaborative, delivery-focused mindset.

Experience in large-scale enterprise environments, ideally within regulated industries or global organizations.
