Nutanix (NTNX) is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Systems Engineer (SE) who will act as a trusted advisor to our customer’s beginning as a presales activity while aiding the customer’s transformational journey through the adoption of our solutions portfolio. Your primary responsibility is to partner with the sales team and provide technical knowledge
around Nutanix solutions to our customers and prospects. You’ll provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and guide prospects through technical evaluations (POCs) which are critical to the deal's success. Additionally, you will work with various teams to resolve customer concerns, escalate product issues, and serve as an ambassador for our brand.
**About the Team**
We are a team of dedicated and highly motivated engineers at Nutanix, a customer-focused group of over 800 technical sales professionals world-wide. We provide pre-sales consulting, technical guidance, and hands-on assistance to customers and ecosystem partners. Our team successfully collaborates with the sales teams to recommend and design effective customer solutions using Nutanix offerings. What sets us apart is our dedication to delivering personalized and appropriate solutions to meet each customer's unique needs.
**Your Role**
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving customer success and business transformation through Nutanix solutions. Working closely with our sales team, you will be the technical leader in customer engagements, helping position Nutanix offerings in ways that address customer challenges and goals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Demonstrate and articulate the value and benefits of Nutanix solutions to influence customer decisions and enable business transformation.
+ Partner with Sales team to develop account strategies, technical solutions designs, and customized proposals based on Nutanix technologies.
+ Provide technical leadership and effectively position Nutanix portfolio solutions through whiteboarding, hands-on workshops, product demos, presentations, and proof of concept (PoC) or proof of value (PoV) engagements.
+ Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers and prospects,and act as their go-to technical advisor.
+ Collaborate with the broader presales team to drive technical wins efficiently and professionally.
+ Provide customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement.
+ Become a subject matter expert in one or more Nutanix product areas.
+ Develop industry expertise in verticals such as Manufacturing, Financial Services or Telco.
+ Continuously update your knowledge of new product features, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
**What You Will Bring**
+ 6–9 years in a customer-facing technical role, with 3–5 years in a presales engineering capacity.
+ Strong hands-on technical aptitude and adaptability to meet evolving market demands.
+ Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
+ Analytical mindset with the ability to explain complex technical issues and recommend solution strategies.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and execute detailed action plans.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
+ Proficiency in English (reading and writing required; listening and speaking preferred at a business level).
+ High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
+ Eagerness to learn, grow, and pursue excellence continuously.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Hands-on presales experience in data center and cloud technologies, including but not limited to storage, virtualization, public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, databases, and automation frameworks.
+ Deep technical expertise and the ability to confidently position Nutanix products and services.
+ Subject matter expertise in one or more technology domains to establish credibility with technical stakeholders.
+ Experience mentoring peers or onboarding new hires is a plus.
**Work Arrangement**
On Site: This role is based on-site, offering the opportunity to collaborate face-to-face with team members in a dynamic and engaging work environment. Being physically present allows for seamless teamwork and direct access to resources that support your success. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
