As a Senior Systems Engineer will be working within cross-functional teams in digital services and engineering team – design engineering, software and infrastructure, data science, service delivery and digital product leadership, collaborating closely with various stakeholders such as customers, services business leaders, development teams, project managers in a fast pacing, digital and dynamic environment. You’ll be able to split complex/high level requirements in simple, clear and actionable task and eager to test and adopt new technologies in digital industrial ecosystem.
As a Senior Systems Engineer – Industrial Digital Services, you will be responsible for:
Leading programs and progress, translating ideas and requirements from business and Product Leaders into detailed solutions and features to be implemented.
Ensuring the product development (PD) process is followed including any required technical reviews such as design reviews, risk reviews, manufacturability reviews, supply chain reviews.
Defining and maintaining product functional architecture, product breakdown structure (PBS), physical architecture, system interfaces, requirements allocation, and their relevant verification and validation.
Acting as technical focal point for the program, including but not limited to Engineering, sourcing, Manufacturing, other third parties, suppliers.
Facilitating, and aligning the architecture of Data flows within the Digital Systems to enable high-level automated processes, and live stream data analytics outlets while ensuring data integrity, governance, and security
Keeping into account all the aspect of digital services technology stack ranging from deep understanding of all the technical aspects that digital solution tackles, up to service delivery model and UX/UI
Partnering with GTS Digital Sales/Solution Architects and customers during the product definition and requirements gathering process for bids and proposals
Working with Project/Program Manager to develop an integrated program plan across all functions with milestones, deliverables, resources, required funding to carry out the development and keeping it updated
Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies (artificial intelligence, generative AI, agentic AI, sensors technologies) and regulatory requirements, environmental and emissions compliance
Establishing and maintaining relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved
Be an active member of broader Systems Engineering community
Remaining current with Systems Engineering state-of-the-art, promoting adoption and taking active part to company related initiatives
Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Have experience in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable but essential. Experience in large industrial businesses with digitized product lines considered.
Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Hardware or software systems engineering background welcome.
Experience working on digitization or product transformation projects.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have working knowledge of IT operations, agile methodology, software development lifecycle and systems architecture
Have good knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques
Have exceptional customer service orientation
Be available for On-call / call back from time to time
