This is a multi-functional role dealing with diverse engineering needs, including the ability to gather requirements, generate specification documents, and collaborate with integration partners, contract manufacturers, and internal personnel to design, deploy, and sustain custom solutions worldwide. This high-visibility role within NI requires daily interaction with NI customers, partners, NI Sales Teams, NI Engineering Teams, and Executive Management. The role will include:
Interacting with a wide variety of NI customers, NI staff, external partners, and suppliers in support of designing, implementing, and sustaining custom solutions Specifying and defining system configurations and electrical/electronic designs as part of systems and solutions Generating requirements documents, statements of work, and Bills of Materials Prototyping, testing, and deploying turnkey automated solutions in the Automotive industry Defining and implementing project plans, managing milestones, and holding reviews to ensure systems meet requirements and readiness for deployment Directing support personnel, managing project technical deliverables, guiding technical decisions, and driving field-found issues to resolution Traveling as needed (possibly up to 25%) domestically and abroad in support of project objectivesWho You Are:

S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering Technology Minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience in a Hardware Systems Design Role or a Test Engineering Design Role Strong understanding of electrical engineering, electronics & computer architectures Understanding of high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++/C#) Demonstrated understanding of the following concepts and principles: Appropriate selection of instrumentation and equipment to meet system requirements Understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and signal routing Measurement methodologies and sources of measurement error Integration of hardware and software Bill of Materials creation and review Familiarity with CAD and PCB design toolsPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Hands-on use of schematic capture tools and PCB design tools Knowledge in Component Supplier Selection Knowledge in Compliance Certifications (CE, UL, TUV, Etc.) Hands-on use of NI Hardware Platforms and Instruments Hands-on use of NI LabVIEW and Test Stand SolidWorks Electrical with 3D plugin Experience working with contract manufacturers and internal Manufacturing groups
