Job Description:
The Senior Systems Architect provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise in the design, integration, and sustainment of FAA NAS Automation architectures. This role focuses on ensuring mission continuity and modernization of critical automation systems (ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, TFMS, etc.) by applying advanced architecture practices and working closely with FAA stakeholders. The Architect will guide system design, validate architectural approaches, and ensure interoperability across complex, large-scale environments that support the National Airspace System.
Senior Role
Minimum 10+ years of related experience, with BS (or equivalent experience).Extensive experience supporting FAA programs with deep knowledge of current NAS Automation architectures (ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, and/or TFMS).Proven ability to design, evaluate, and integrate large-scale automation system architectures to support mission-critical operations.Skilled in leading architecture development across multiple domains, balancing system performance, security, interoperability, and scalability.Experience working with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to align architectural strategies with program objectives.Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable solutions that enable reliable, secure, and future-ready FAA automation systems.Security Clearance Requirement:
