Your Day-to-Day: you are expected to be responsible for the following:
Perform thermo-hydraulic calculations of plant safety systems including fluid flow, hydraulic resistance and heat transfer, etc. Perform the piping networks engineering design and analysis for mega-projects or advanced reactors. Develop pump, valve, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications. Identify problems from plant testing and operational data and propose solutions to projects and tasks that are assigned Support more senior engineering personnel in various design and analysis efforts Support to develop the technical description and cost estimation for commercial bidding and proposals Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management Collaborate with construction, I&C, electrical, and operations project teams with internal and/or external representation Participate in customer, vendor, and regulator meetings as needed to present technical materials and justification of services and product designs Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirementsMinimum Requirements
Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear preferred)-
- 5-10 years nuclear system design/analysis/testing experience
- Familiarity with Excel, Mathcad, MATLAB, or VBA programing software
- Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and or advanced reactors or AP1000 is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Ability to travel to Westinghouse (including US Pittsburgh Headquarter) or China/Asia Customer site 20-30%
