Responsibilities Provides technical support Lead and engage system architecture and system design discussion. Assist with system integration and technical management. Assists in providing technical input to the systems engineering process. Leads teams in developing technical plans. Guide customers in the installation and use of strategic products through education and guidance. Experience in tuning assistance problem solving and critical situation resolution. Qualifications Proven expertise in VMware vSphere administration, including: vMotion, HA, and DRS configuration Managing and optimizing multi-clustered ESXi environments Performance tuning and capacity management Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS server hardware Proficiency in virtual machine deployment and administration on Microsoft and Linux platforms Demonstrated capability in VMware Aria Automation (vRA) and VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO) for virtualization automation workflows Experience supporting government or large-scale enterprise data center environments Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation components beyond vSphere Background in automation scripting (JavaScript) to support and extend vRA/vRO workflows Education: Master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 10+ years’ work experience Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (20 years total) Clearance: The ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation Location: Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site) Monday - Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST Time) Austin Information Technology Center (AITC) 1615 Woodward Street, Austin, TX 78741
