Responsibilities + Provides technical support + Lead and engage system architecture and system design discussion. + Assist with system integration and technical management. + Assists in providing technical input to the systems engineering process. + Leads teams in developing technical plans. + Guide customers in the installation and use of strategic products through education and guidance. + Experience in tuning assistance problem solving and critical situation resolution. Qualifications + Proven expertise in VMware vSphere administration, including: vMotion, HA, and DRS configuration + Managing and optimizing multi-clustered ESXi environments + Performance tuning and capacity management + Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS server hardware + Proficiency in virtual machine deployment and administration on Microsoft and Linux platforms + Demonstrated capability in VMware Aria Automation (vRA) and VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO) for virtualization automation workflows + Experience supporting government or large-scale enterprise data center environments + Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation components beyond vSphere + Background in automation scripting (JavaScript) to support and extend vRA/vRO workflows Education: + Master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 10+ years’ work experience + Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (20 years total) Clearance: + The ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation Location: + Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site) + Monday - Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST Time) + Austin Information Technology Center (AITC) 1615 Woodward Street, Austin, TX 78741
