Position summary:
This position holder is responsible for all day-to-day inbound logistics operations (import logistics, customs clearance, goods receiving) in compliant with trade regulations, and internal policy, guidelines. This role requires to monitor supplier performances report supply information to stakeholders and raise supply risks to suppliers and resolve issues with suppliers. This position holder is required to monitor service provider performance, and seek for opportunities in improving service and cost performances.Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)
PO(purchase order) Management (65%)
Responsible to drive performance for On-Time as Committed shipments, meeting Customer demand to requested need dates, and Configuration Quality and AccuracyMonitor and process orders from planners promptly and accurately.Collaborate with planners, sales, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.Resolve any order discrepancies or issues to prevent delays in delivery.Analyze order data and trends to identify process improvements and enhance efficiency.Generate and distribute order status reports to relevant stakeholders. (e.g ASN management)Communicate order updates and delivery schedules with customers or internal stakeholders as necessary.Participate in cross-functional meetings to address order-related challenges and optimize processes.Customs Management (15%)
Manage customs related activities such as customs duty drawback, customs broker, HS code classification, export control, customs valuation and customs auditsExport handling (booking, Preparation of export documents, tracking to final destination etc.)Logistics/Freight Management (10%)
Monitor and manage import/export shipments with freight forwarders and other outside vendorsOn time delivery controlGlobal forwarder and Bonded warehouse managementCost Management & Process Improvement (10%)
Payment to service providersLogistics cost management (Especially Freight and Duty)Implement cost-saving initiatives (CCSI)Identify and mitigate potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain (customs delays, trade disputes, or transportation issues)Develop contingency plans to address emergencies and minimize operational impactsIdentify process inefficiencies and implement measures to streamline customs clearance and logistics operationsEducation & special trainings:
University graduate and above preferably in SCM, Trade, etc.Logistics-related certificate is plusKnowledge of trade regulations in the medical device industry is preferred.Qualifications & experience:
+4 years of relevant supply chain experience gained from companies with organizational complexity and multicultural business environment.Proven experience in order management/fulfillment, inbound management or a similar role.Proficiency in order processing systems like ERP software (e.g., JDE, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.Fluent in Korean and English with proficiency of other language(s) will be an advantageStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Physical & mental requirements:
