New Porgera Limited (NPL) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Supervisor - Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP & AR) to lead our financial operations.
About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent - Accounting, the successful candidate will Lead and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to support New Porgera Limited’s (NPL) operational and financial goals. Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely vendor payments and efficient receivables management aligned with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will:
Oversee the end to end invoice process: verification, approval, and remittance. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflows and ensure SOX/internal control compliance. Monitor vendor aging reports, investigate discrepancies, and resolve escalated issues. Coordinate payment runs and liaise with the Treasury team for cash flow and bank reconciliation purposes. Prepare and present AP metrics and performance dashboards to senior management. Maintain effective communication with vendors and resolve payment queries promptly. Manage the complete invoice to collection cycle in alignment with NPL’s credit policy. Supervise AR team activities: generating customer invoices, issuing reminders, resolving overdue balances, and addressing disputes. Monitor AR aging to optimize working capital and cash flow. Implement and enforce credit controls to minimize risk exposure. Deliver timely AR reports, forecasts, and insights on cash inflows and potential collection issues. Mentor and develop AR team members to ensure skill growth and adherence to best practices. Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.About You
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experiences:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of AP/AR experience, preferably at supervisory level in the mining or resource sector. Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems; advanced Excel skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.Mobilization Requirement
This position is open to PNG Citizens Only Rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. (This will be arranged only for successful candidates who progress after the interview stage).
