We are looking for a seasoned Active Directory Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead a critical Group Policy Management (GPO) initiative within a large-scale, complex enterprise IT environment. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in Active Directory (AD) architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on policy design, security configuration, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the assessment, design, cleanup, and optimization of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Active Directory environments.

Review, analyze, and document existing GPOs; recommend improvements or consolidation strategies to reduce complexity and improve manageability.

Design and implement GPOs to support security hardening, application control, and enhanced user experience across desktops and enterprise systems.

Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure GPO strategies align with organizational policies and compliance standards.

Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for AD and GPO-related issues.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for policies, procedures, configurations, and change management processes.

Support modernization and migration efforts, including transitions to hybrid or cloud-based Active Directory environments.

Conduct impact analysis and testing of GPO changes in controlled environments before deployment to production.
