Job Description:

BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to Lead the structural design of complex bridge and miscellaneous structure projects from concept through completion, serving as Engineer-of-Record, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical quality and compliance, engaging with clients and subconsultants, and contributing to business development and staff mentorship.

What You'll Be Doing:

Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and miscellaneous structures, with a particular emphasis on complex or specialized designsAssume lead role in complex structural design efforts; assign, track, and review tasks of technicians, designers, and engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules; QC final work productOversee project design from conception to completion in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule; coordinate with other disciplines throughout the duration of the projectProvide constructability reviews; perform independent peer reviews on project submittalsReview contract plans and calculations from other engineering teams and outside entities to verify completion and compliance with governing structural design codes and contract plans and specificationsServes as the Engineer-of-Record for major, minor, and miscellaneous structural designsCommunicate high-level concepts effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agenciesBuild client relationships, help identify business opportunities, meet with clients and have client accountabilityParticipate in project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors as necessaryUtilize Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to accurately report and track ongoing business opportunities and pursuitsTake an active role in proposal activities, including write-ups and preliminary and final reviewsOther marketing duties include providing timely resume updates, project write-ups, proposal support, and participating in marketing initiatives as requiredEnsure timely completion of time sheets, expense reports, and labor hours managementFacilitate career development of junior engineers and designers through active mentorship, providing formal and informal feedback and seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skillsIdentify skills and knowledge gaps within the department, seek opportunities to provide internal trainings, and identify worthwhile external training content

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural EngineeringFlorida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 monthsAdvanced knowledge of Category Type 2 bridges such as Structural Steel (box girder and/or I-girder), segmental, post-tensioned concrete, straddle piers, and/or movable bridges.Demonstrated success in client service and project deliveryParticipation in relevant Engineering Societies

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
