Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position open for an Experienced Structural Engineer for our Building Engineering Group. The position will be a Hybrid office location at our Sacramento or San Diego offices. Responsibilities include: Preparing structural analysis, designs, and calculations for new and renovated building structures for aviation, federal, industrial, and commercial clients Preparing construction documents Assisting project managers to carry out project assignments This position has the opportunity to provide mentorship and guidance to team members and work with department staff to assist in planning the strategic growth of the team. Some travel will be required. The successful candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, architectural, or structural engineering from an accredited college or university. At least 8 years of relevant work experience The successful candidate will have any/all the following qualifications: Experience with high seismic structural design Experience with ASCE-41, Tier 3 Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit An SE license in California. Experience designing and detailing structural steel, light gage steel, concrete, masonry, precast, and heavy timber structural building systems Knowledge of codes, statues, and laws related to building design and construction Experience with RAM, RISA, SAP, and other structural analysis software At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
