**Job Overview:** The Senior Structural Drafter completes various Structural Drafting assignments as needed and can complete work with limited supervision. They are an informal resource for colleagues with less Structural Drafting experience. The Senior Structural Drafter has developed proficiency in various analytical processes or procedures for assigned tasks. They directly impact the quality of the work of the team. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** + Perform accurate checking and/or prepares accurate detailed structural shop drawings using 2D computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D Tekla and/or other detailing software for fabrication + Collaborate closely with structural detailing engineer and other structural checker in checking structural shop drawings, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and fabrication requirements + Coordinate with lead checker to resolve technical issues + Assist lead checker in preparation of drafting report to maintain good productivity, quality, and safety performance + Conduct regular self-inspections and quality checks to verify adherence to design drawings and structural codes + Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to structural drafting and design + Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives existing processes + Support the development of junior drafters **Essential Qualifications and Education:** + Min. senior high school/ diploma or equivalent with a focus on technical drawing + Min. 6 years of experience in drafting of which 2 years should be as checker or in the use of Tekla Steel Detailing in the fabrication industry + Demonstrating a strong understanding of technical drawing + Proficient in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software such as Tekla to develop accurate and detailed technical drawings + Familiarity with industry standards and codes for drafting + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively + Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with structural engineer and drafting team + Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges in developing technical drawings + Proactive, willing to learn, and commitment to work with good performance to maintain productivity, quality, and safety \#LI-DL1 Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
