Shift Details: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. *Required Overtime will be mandatory. Up to 4 hours daily depending on company needs. Weekend production will be required on a needed basis.

What Materials Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Materials Management is responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels.

Responsibilities

Monitoring stock levels, reordering items as needed, and performing physical inventories to ensure accuracy.Ensuring Maintenance teams have what is needed to execute their dutiesEnsure all PM kits are built prior to PM.Work with the Maintenance planners to update parts on order.Attend weekly Maintenance meetings to discuss upcoming needs.Learn and understand what the role of the Senior buyer is and be able to fill in whenAssisting the Storeroom attendant with put aways.

Qualifications

2-4 years of experience, preferredHigh School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
