Your impact
The OpenText Senior Storage Administrator will assist with general maintenance and upkeep of our global storage environment. Included in this; deploying storage changes, collaborating with vendors, maintaining storage infrastructure, ensuring performance specifications are met and other duties as directed. This person will participate in an on-call rotation to manage production impacting issues. The OpenText Senior Storage Administrator will report to the Senior Manager of Storage focusing on commercial business.
What the role offers
Supporting the Operations Organization by employing systematic efforts that translate operational storage needs into configuration specifications which provide a robust, stable, and maintainable Production Storage Processing environment, meeting or exceeding all Business Requirements.
Participate in strategic projectsProvide oversight of the global storage footprintProvide storage forecasts based on usage and trendingKeep up to date with storage manufacturers' product offeringsAdhere to all ITIL standards and processesProvide Level3 expertise for break\\fix issuesEnsure accurate and non-impactful changes are implemented in the production environment by working with technical services, storage resources
What you need to succeed
B.S. in computer science/information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience5-8 years progressively responsible experience in:Primarily EMC and NetApp storage technologies, some familiarity with HP 3Par Storage Array installation, configuration, and administration would be considered an assetStorage allocation, upgrades, and optimization standardsStorage Performance TuningProactive monitoring and tools implementationCisco MDS and Brocade SAN switch installation, configuration, and administrationStorage management tools (ECC, SE, ESRS, SCG, SMC/SPA NetApp DII)Experience with EMC’s PMAX, VMAX, UNITY, VNX, Symmetrix, and Celera platforms, HP 3PAR storage, NetApp, and Cisco/Brocade SAN SwitchesFamiliarity with VMware is an assetA basic understanding of system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of RedHat Enterprise Linux, HP-UX, Solaris & Windows ServersExperience using AI to develop strategies to automate workloads and processes, with a commitment to operating safely and securely to prevent the exposure of sensitive information in any public domain#LI-Hybrid
