Senior Staff Systems Engineer, OTA

You'll have…
• Bachelor’s degree or better in software engineering, computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• ⁠7+ years of experience in vehicle software testing and deployment efforts.
• Proven ability to deliver production worthy OTA updates to all ECUs in a SDV architecture.
• Experience testing end to end automotive OTA software.
• A strong grasp of software integration and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with infotainment systems, embedded software validation, or automotive-grade platforms (Android, QNX, Linux).
• Hands-on experience with automotive grade real-time ECUs.
• Experience building and scaling CI/CD pipelines with OTA testing focus
• A track record of successfully debugging complex software and system problems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a sharp eye for detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.


Even better, you may have...
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing or testing directly on physical automotive hardware or vehicles.
• Experience working with specific infotainment operating systems (like Android Automotive, Linux)
• Strong understanding of vehicle networks and debugging tools (CAN, PCAN, Vector, Wireshark).
• Experience with performance testing concepts and automating performance checks.

What you'll do...
Architect, design, integrate, and test OTA for a software defined platform.
• Work with suppliers to develop requirements that support OTA for peripheral ECUs.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test infrastructure including test benches, labcars, etc. to support agile OTA testing
• Design, develop, and maintain test suites that ensure OTA software is production ready
• Serve as an OTA expert to internal and external customers
• Develop, and perform stress and performance tests for OTA updates
• Define KPI metrics for OTA deployment quality in test fleet and for vehicles in the field
• Debug and root-cause complex issues spanning software, hardware, and cross-ECU communications, driving timely fixes back to development.
• Contribute to roadmap and strategic planning for future vehicle programs including code refactoring, test strategy, deployment schemes, etc.
