Senior Staff Engineer - Rise Program Manager - Operations
Job Description SummaryDrives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. Impacts the team's ability to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and managing cross functional, technology led, or product focused programs. Manages budgets and interfaces with contractors, suppliers, customers and internal functions. Manages program resource and budget allocation/integration. Manages schedule, budget, and tollgate process for new technology introduction, requisition, or sustaining programs. Influences the programs to meet customer critical to quality requirements (CTQ's).Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.Coordination across Future of Flight Programs as well as the FLIGHT DECK support team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology related discipline from accredited University or CollegeMinimum of 5 years' experience in Aerospace Engineering (or Supply Chain role)Minimum of 1 year experience as technical team lead

Desired Characteristics

Master's degree from accredited university or collegeExposure to Program Management process within Aerospace IndustryKnowledge of Aerospace budget & resource planning processPMP certificationPrior people leadership experienceExperience developing operational strategy and leading executionPrior NPI and/or Technology Maturation experience
