What you will do
Xstore Application engineering part of Store Engineering team plays mission critical role in maintaining the Oracle Xstore, Retail and Merchandise environments across our rapidly growing North American, Canadian and Europe divisions.
As a senior staff engineer you will design, develop and deploy Xstore environments, and provide Xstore engineering expertise for prod support issues. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and development skills with respect to Oracle Retail Suite and a track record of success collaborating across a large IT enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the Stores Application Engineering team, develop strong, meaningful relationships throughout the Product ARTs and TJX IT shared serves
Lead and drive configuration, development and implementation of Xstore POS work as needed
Demonstrated effectiveness working both independently and within cross functional project teams that span multiple time-zones
Should have sound understanding on Xstore, Xenvironment and EFTLInk
Lead and develop Xenvironment customizations
Should have solid understanding of Xstore architecture including Lead-Non lead
Solid understanding of Xstore Office suite
Good understanding of Oracle Xstore and Retail suite data model.
Solid understanding about EOD process and as well store opening process for Xstore POS
Good understanding of Xstore POS code and data deployments
Extensive experience of the Xstore suite major upgrades
Experience with Oracle Xstore and MOM suite implementations
Expertise on installing, configuring and troubleshooting complex clustered Oracle Weblogic and Web-Server environment
Expertise on installing, configuring and troubleshooting Oracle GoldenGate environment
Demonstrated knowledge of performance analysis and tuning of application systems, specifically Oracle Xstore Office Application Database
Demonstrated techniques in troubleshooting issues to resolution, specifically with Oracle Retail (Xstore) and Oracle Database
Very well proficient on understanding Java code and identifying the bugs during code reviews and working with product vendors.
Perform health checks and proactive monitoring using Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control and UNIX shell scripts
Maintain broad knowledge in the area of DevOps tools and capabilities
Install & Configure Oracle Application Tech-stack High Availability Architecture on EXADATA platform
Create and manage Disaster Recovery environment for business continuity.
Adhere to all business operational controls such as: Sarbanes Oxley, PCI policies, security policies, supportability standards, etc.
Application of Security patches released from time to time and Interface with Oracle Support for technical issue resolution.
Prepare production readiness documentation using Confluence, for implementations of medium to high level of complexity.
What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Proven experience with Xsotre suite including designing, configuring, and management in large scale retail environments.
In-depth understanding on Xstore, Xenvironment and EFTLInk
Strong experience on Oracle WebLogic, OHS, Oracle Database technology stack components.
Expert understanding of Oracle GoldenGate & Exadata.
Strong Linux shell scripting and Python scripting skills for automation and tool development.
Prefer development experience with: Ansible, Splunk, and AppD.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in technology or information systems or equivalent.
10+ years of Oracle Xstore suite experience.
Expert understanding of Oracle Application Techstack, GoldenGate & Exadata.
Expert understanding in Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
Prefer development experience with: Ansible, Azure, Groovy, Maven, Splunk, and AppD.
